The design of Track 5. pays tribute to Oklahoma’s rich honky-tonk roots. The idea started as an ode to “Tulsa Time,” the fifth track on Don Williams’ legendary album Expressions. While working on the 1,200-square-foot design of Track 5., the Hard Rock team stumbled upon a bizarre coincidence of an Oklahoma tie embedded on the fifth track of four other iconic albums. With that discovery, there was no doubt the club name would be Track 5. Along with Don Williams’ Expressions album, the four other artists with a fifth track about Oklahoma or Tulsa include Waylon Jennings’ The Ramblin’ Man (“Oklahoma Sunshine”), Leon Russell’s Leon Russell and the Shelter People (“Home Sweet Oklahoma”), George Strait’s Honkytonkville (“Tell Me Something Bad About Tulsa”) and Kenny Rogers’ Kenny (“Tulsa Turnaround’). Take in the sounds of country legends or today’s up-and-comers performing on this one-of-a-kind stage.
